What comes to your mind when we say discrimination? Discrimination is prejudicial treatment of a person, alternative group based on sex, religion, race and etc. For me, when we say discriminate, we feel that there's something wrong in ourselves. In our attitudes and also in our physical appearance. In my situation, I haven't experienced being discriminated. It's just my brother and sister who teases me because of my skin tone. Before, I was often told that I do not being in the family because of my skin tone. But I know that they are just kidding so I don't take it seriously. However, not all people like me don't take it seriously also. Sometimes, they get hurt and think that they should not be a part of the community. Like for example, the gays we always see them but every time we see them, we make sure that they are discriminated. They find it hard to get what they want, like searching jobs there are possibilities that they are being rejected because of their appearance, the way they move and the way they talk. My advice for them is when they know that they are right, they should not be ashamed of it. And, it is not in the way they move, talk and the way they dress but in the way they touch other lives. For now, we should accept and respect what they are.

AUNTIE JOANNE'S Pretzel Perfect
November 2, 2010. My 1st nephew was born. Darrin Daniel S.A Guzman. I was very thrilled to see my nephew for the first time. So my brother and I decided to have a little surprise for the baby's home coming. Posters, balloons and some corny notes, nothing else to ask for. A few hours passed and then they arrived. Along with my older sister, her husband of course, my mom and my cute bouncy baby boy pamangkin. It was so incredible! Words cannot describe how satisfying that was! As corny as this my sound, it was like there were butterflies everywhere. I will never forget that day! It was officially the day that I become an Aunt, or Tita, which ever you prefer.
But I must admit, its not all laughs when you take care of a baby. The adjustment of taking a giant leap towards becoming a responsible Tita from a regular kid was really not that easy. The only thing that can make you stay is having a positive attitude towards everything. And of course, the most important thing of all, LOVE! That's what I have! For my Dad, Mom, my Sister, Brother and to the newest member of our family , my nephew.... BABY DADA.ÜFLAVORS of my life as Auntie Joanne:
-The Baby's asleep. ( Not so tasty but Low cholesterol and Hassle free.) ZZZZzzzzzz
- Just For Laughs! (What better way to spoil breakfast, lunch and dinner than with
this sweet treat! Having a nephew like him is DEFINITELY better than a box of chocolates!)
- Sour Cream? Having a baby is not a joke. We experience some difficulties with (sleep
pattern, night feeding, wet nappies.) Sometimes, we really have a tough time
putting him to sleep. We all have to sacrifice. But for him? It's all worth it!
1 liter of hot sauce, 1 tablespoon of chili powder and 1 cup of wasabi. Nothing gets hotter
than this.)
