HOW BRUTAL IS ACHILLES?
I think Achilles is more like a lion than a man. Because compared to a lion, Achilles shows the features of a lion who brutally kills it's prey.
"Hector, my dear son, don't stand out there alone, facing that man with no one else to help you. Or you will quickly meet your death, slaughtered by Peleus son, who's much more powerful." (Book 22. 50-60.220-221)
In this lines, it shows how brutal and violent he is. Achilles did this for his cousin, Patroclus.

Every Woman is a Man's Treasure
A women who manifests her rights. For me, a woman who manifests her right is a mother. a mother whose hands wrinkles because of the determination that she gives just to provide the necessities of her children. a mother, who sleeps late at night to prepare the "baon" and all the things that her children needs for the day. she can do all things for her children even if it takes her all her life, money, dignity&reputation. sometimes we, children do all the things that disappoit and upset them like cutting classes, answer back teachers and going home late at night because of our friends and we don't see how hard it is for our mothers to buy the gadgets we want and our allowance. just to discipline us just to make our path straight. the best woman for me is my mom. First, I'm so thankful and blessed that she was the one who gave birth to me. she said that I'm the maoma baby. Because i was the last child from her. but she never gave up until now. she also does her duties as a mother. and also as a Grandmother. Although we can help her. but i know that sometimes she's already tired. I know that God never fail her. and I hope that she's always there for us. because no one would be better than my Mom.

The Absence of Understanding
What comes to your mind when we say discrimination? Discrimination is prejudicial treatment of a person, alternative group based on sex, religion, race and etc. For me, when we say discriminate, we feel that there's something wrong in ourselves. In our attitudes and also in our physical appearance. In my situation, I haven't experienced being discriminated. It's just my brother and sister who teases me because of my skin tone. Before, I was often told that I do not being in the family because of my skin tone. But I know that they are just kidding so I don't take it seriously. However, not all people like me don't take it seriously also. Sometimes, they get hurt and think that they should not be a part of the community. Like for example, the gays we always see them but every time we see them, we make sure that they are discriminated. They find it hard to get what they want, like searching jobs there are possibilities that they are being rejected because of their appearance, the way they move and the way they talk. My advice for them is when they know that they are right, they should not be ashamed of it. And, it is not in the way they move, talk and the way they dress but in the way they touch other lives. For now, we should accept and respect what they are.

AUNTIE JOANNE'S Pretzel Perfect
November 2, 2010. My 1st nephew was born. Darrin Daniel S.A Guzman. I was very thrilled to see my nephew for the first time. So my brother and I decided to have a little surprise for the baby's home coming. Posters, balloons and some corny notes, nothing else to ask for. A few hours passed and then they arrived. Along with my older sister, her husband of course, my mom and my cute bouncy baby boy pamangkin. It was so incredible! Words cannot describe how satisfying that was! As corny as this my sound, it was like there were butterflies everywhere. I will never forget that day! It was officially the day that I become an Aunt, or Tita, which ever you prefer.
But I must admit, its not all laughs when you take care of a baby. The adjustment of taking a giant leap towards becoming a responsible Tita from a regular kid was really not that easy. The only thing that can make you stay is having a positive attitude towards everything. And of course, the most important thing of all, LOVE! That's what I have! For my Dad, Mom, my Sister, Brother and to the newest member of our family , my nephew.... BABY DADA.ÜPosted by Joanne at 8:27 AM 0 comments
